RAF Menwith Hill is an integral part of the worldwide defence communications network and provides intelligence support for United Kingdom, United States and allied interests. The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Department is a world-class organisation supporting 50 facilities over a 545-Acre site with almost 100 employees.
With an ever growing need for intelligence support in the 21st Century, we are now recruiting for individuals to join the highly skilled Facilities Control Centre team, working a 24/7 shift pattern providing maintenance support and operation of key infrastructure supporting this mission.
The incumbent will be required to participate in a 24 hour, seven day week, fifty two week shift system on a rotating roster.

- Competitive salary for 37hr conditioned working week, including additional premium payments for all conditioned weekend / Bank Holiday shifts, minimum time and one half rates for all overtime hours worked (double time for weekends and Bank Holiday)
- You may be eligible for overtime payments and where overtime is approved you will receive appropriate payment.
- 20% shift disturbance allowance

Person specification
Applicants must hold a recognised Apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3 in a Mechanical or Electrical field and have at least 4 years relevant post training experience.
Applicants for this post must hold UK citizenship and have lived in the UK for 8 of the last 10 years.
Before starting in post you will acquire a Developed Vetting (DV) Enhanced Security Clearance.
You will also be required to attend and pass BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations course to be able to acquire and maintain Skilled Person status. Failure to qualify within 24 months of taking up post may result in dismissal on the grounds of incapability.
A Full UK Driving Licence is essential due to the remote nature of the buildings and the equipment which must be taken by vehicle to fix mission equipment critical problems.
