The Defence Safety Authority (DSA) HQ are recruiting for a Quality Manager. This permanent role is ideal for someone to develop and progress professionally and contribute towards Defence Safety in a welcoming and flexible team. Training and professional development within the role is offered.
The Quality Manager will report directly to the Manager of Internal Assurance and serve as a member of the DSA HQ Governance team. With responsibility for managing the DSA HQ quality assurance and Continuous Improvement plan so that it delivers its agreed goals.
The Quality manager will support the implementation of a Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and MOD Policy on Quality Management.
The DSA Internal Assurance Team also has responsibility for managing and coordination of Fraud requirements for DSA outlined in the relevant policies.

Job description
The Quality Managers main responsibilities, activities, and duties will include:
- Leading the DSA HQ to deliver an QMS and continuous improvement activities.
- Developing and maintaining quality assurance tools and methodologies to improve quality processes and procedures aligning them to both MOD quality policies and ISO 9001:2015. .
- Provide advice and guidance to the Internal Assurance Manager in all aspects of quality assurance and continuous improvement requirements.
- Maintain a high level of quality assurance and regulatory requirement knowledge to ensure that DSA HQ procedures comply with regulatory and quality assurance requirements.
- Ensure risks and opportunities are captured and actively managed.

Person specification
We are looking for an exceptional Quality Manager. It is important through your application and Statement of Suitability of 500 words that you give evidence and examples of proven experience of each of the following criteria:
Essential
- Experience of implementation/management of Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in managing Continuous Improvement
- Qualification in a relevant discipline or have experience of working within the quality environment.
Desirable
- Experience of auditing a range of standards, regulations and guidelines
- Quality management qualification (for example; ISO 9001:2015 lead auditor)
- Experience with electronic quality management software solutions.

The post does not offer relocation expenses.
