Job description
The part time Learning Programme Teacher role mainly consists of delivery of our onsite education sessions, with themes including plant adaptations, evolution, conservation, ecosystems and much more. The role requires you to follow set lesson plans to achieve learning outcomes. You will also support the zero hours teachers day to day and work on development of the schools programme.
This is a permanent post based onsite at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
This post is a 0.5 FTE part time annualised hours contract, with most of your hours being completed during term time and during our busy period from March to October.
Person specification
Our ideal candidate will have significant experience of teaching in a formal setting or delivering environmental education programmes to pupils from a variety of key stages. You will be required to teach all age groups from early years to key stage 5.
The ideal candidate will have an ability to inspire and engage pupils and teachers with enthusiasm, passion and a friendly manner. You must have excellent interpersonal skills to work successfully within a team and with external stakeholders.
