Job summary
The Navy Safety Centre is responsible to the Fleet Commander for providing advice, guidance and assurance on all Health, Safety and Environmental Protection (HS&EP) issues, improving safety culture across the Naval Service, accident investigation and for the management of the Navy Lessons Information Management System (NLIMS) for the recording of HS&EP accidents and incidents.
This post is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
As part of the Navy Safety Occurrence Reporting Team (NSORT), NORA is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate recording of accidents and incidents on to the Navy Lessons and Information Management System (NLIMS), which is utilised for the collection, recording and analysis of HS&EP accidents and incidents to meet the requirements and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
Verify, quality check and input incident data on to the Navy Lessons and Information Management System iaw NSORT Standard Operating Procedures iaw agreed timescales and NSORT service standards.
Assist with raw data searches as required by line management, to support data extraction and to assist and support Navy Command establishments/units as appropriate, for the purpose of incident management.
Provide support and assistance to Line management tasks resulting from queries and requests received from Navy Command units, vessels and establishments as required, ad-hoc to support the wider team effort

The post does not offer relocation expenses.
External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
