Job description

The Markets, Partners and Place (MPP) Directorate leads Homes England’s delivery of major projects in priority places alongside development of new opportunities and projects. Our priorities include Garden Settlements and projects that achieve Transformative Urban Regeneration throughout England. The Directorate also leads our response to devolution and the establishment of long-term partnerships with Combined Authorities via our Strategic Place Partnership (SPP) model already in-place with Greater Manchester and now being rolled out across other Combined Authority areas. 

 

We are seeking candidates to work across MPP and will be working in either our regional teams or our coordinating function. Within the regional teams, you will be expected to work within a specific geographical area (e.g. East Midlands, North East, South East) within either the North, Midlands or South teams and to work with partners in that patch ensuring that priority projects with those partners get delivered. You will be a part of a team that has responsibility for delivering some of the Agencies most important and ambitious development and infrastructure projects that achieve transformative regeneration as well as housing growth.

• You will be part of a team that works with partners throughout your region playing a leading role in promoting the Agency and the work we do. 

 

• You will help develop and deepen relationships with local partners in priority housing markets and act as a conduit between Homes England and our key partners, influencing key decisions and leveraging relationships to generate new business.  

 

• You will lead or support multidisciplinary teams, drawing on skills and expertise form across the agency to drive progress in complex, long term regeneration and housing growth projects and enable delivery in priority locations. 

 

• You will be responsible for contributing to the implementation of change to deliver our new operating approach and to work in a more place based and impactful way.  

 

• You will support the Regional Director in the embedding of the new Regional Forums acting as a route by which colleagues from across the Agency can help drive improved pipeline development, programme performance and place-based impact by bringing the whole Agency to our delivery challenge. 

 

• You will interface with the National Regeneration, Partnerships and Major Projects team to develop best practice in what we do and to achieve consistency throughout the Country.

• You will be used to “spinning several plates” at once, meeting various internal and external deadlines and will always be looking for ways to improve.
