Job summary

Air Human Resources (Air HR) deliver a National, centralised, professional and HR focused service to all Units (inc parented populations) served by our HR Region (HRR). All members of AHR support the delivery of a unified, standardised and assured HR Service that is ‘Air Power Driven and People Focused’, supports operational output, and meets the requirements of our personnel and their line managers, while championing self-service digital solutions, innovation and flexibility.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. 

Job description

You will provide the full range of appraisals administration for Headquarters Air Command, RAF High Wycombe and associated parented personnel, in alignment with HR Region 1 Ops Command Group, Line Management and Appraisals priorities.

You will be responsible for:

  1.   Raising and issuing all appraisals before the reporting deadline, ensuring details are correctly recorded in the appropriate register.

     2.   Attaching Insert Slips to appropriate appraisals as per policy and update the registers accordingly.

     3.   Ensuring all emails are responded to in a timely manner.

     4.   Checking all completed appraisals in accordance with policy and finalise /approve as appropriate and update the register accordingly.

     5.     Provide specialist advice to Reporting Officers with regards to requests for waivers and deferrals, staffing applications for                                 consideration in consultation with HR Region 1 Appraisal line management.

     6.    Assist HR Region 1 Appraisals line management with all other Appraisals functions as required.

Person specification

You will need to have demonstrable skills and experience of:  

  • Experience in a high-volume customer service role  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure 

Desirable Skills and Experience 

These are not necessary, but it would be ideal if you had:  

  • Experience of working in a HR related role   
  • Experience of working collaboratively in a team 
  • IT skills and confidence in using Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) 
  • Experience and confident in engaging with stakeholders across all levels

The post does not offer relocation expenses.
