Job description

Job Purpose

Within the Safety Policy and Corporate Support Team, will apply your policy skills to a range of railway health and safety topics. You will develop policies and promote understanding of them within, and beyond ORR, producing high-quality written material and clearly communicating this information. You will support ORR colleagues (including Railway Inspectors in the Railway Safety Directorate) so that they are able to understand and apply your outputs in their work.

You will work with other safety regulators (including the Health and Safety Executive, HSE), government and railway industry organisations. You will develop your own network of policy connections. This job contributes to achieving excellence in safety culture and management across the industry by developing railway health and safety policy.
