Job description
The finance team within GAD is small, but it has a broad and varied remit. An opportunity has arisen for a fixed term role within the Accounts Receivable team.
The candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in a broad range of accounts receivable activities in a commercial organisation operating within government.
Person specification
- Support the receivables manager at GAD to achieve a smooth-running client invoicing process.
- Ensure that invoices are raised accurately, on time and in line with requests from the client facing teams.
- Manage the debt chasing process and ensure this is undertaken in line with GADs working capital target.
- Provide business support and assistance to GADs client facing teams, including the provision of requests for project information, and the production of Excel based weekly reports.
- Respond to queries from a range of stakeholders including clients, GAD internal facing teams and auditors.
- Regularly review and update guidance and policies in relation to invoicing and debt management.
- Provide cover and support for other finance team members to ensure continuity of transaction processes within finance.

- Working towards or holding an AAT level 3 qualification and or MCICM or equivalent. (Desirable)
- Proficient in Microsoft office skills with intermediate level excel, ability to format properly, use formulas and create graphs and pivot tables. (assessed via short test at interview)
