Job summary
This is an exciting time of change for HEFCW as we move into the new Commission for Tertiary Education and Research (CTER), the new arms length body responsible for overseeing and funding post-16 education and research from April 2024. We are looking to build our team in preparation for this change so that CTER has an established finance department to support the organisation, which will have one of the highest budgets of an arms length body in Wales.
Job description
We are recruiting for an experienced Finance Officer to work with us during this busy time in shaping processes for the Commission, which will be larger than HEFCW, with a significantly larger budget.
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, as part of a small team you will be responsible for the day to day processing and reconciliation of all purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank transactions. You will also support the Finance Manager in general ledger related activities, posting journals and producing reports.
