Job purpose

To provide a dedicated administration service to support primarily the performance management team with key projects and deliverables. Maintaining a professional proactive approach when interacting with stakeholders.

  •  Support the annual performance management cycle, answering inbox queries and sign posting resources.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to provide performance appraisal completion data during the annual performance cycle and other ad hoc appraisal system reporting as required.
  • Organise and coordinate internal and external meetings, including issuing of relevant papers and or content for the wider Talent Team.
  • Provide administrative & project planning support as required across the Talent Team.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

Administration

  • Respond to performance & appraisal queries via the appraisal inbox or escalate and consult others who can provide the answer, resolving & triaging queries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain published resources for the Talent & Performance Team including guidance and toolkits for the organisation.
  • Support the project build of a Talent Source Page (Intranet)
  • Provide administration support across the Talent team including Early Careers recruitment, Strategic Workforce Planning & Talent Attraction. Duties may include supporting assessment centres and administrative support for ad hoc project work as and when required.

 

Engagement with:

  • HR colleagues to support the transition to the new appraisal reporting system and to provide data and insights.
  • The Performance Champions Network to support their role as ambassadors for performance management across UKRI, including arranging diaries and speakers for quarterly network events. 
  • HR customers and stakeholders to monitor appraisal enquires that are both system, process and/or policy led.

Person Specification

  • Experience of/interest in working in an administrative and or HR function
  • Experience of working in a busy administrative role that involves customer facing tasks
  • Oral & written skills and an ability to communicate information concisely and clearly
  • Highly customer service focused
  • Ability to work in a professional and proactive manner

Selection process details

1st interview incl presentation.

Interviews will be conducted either in person or remotely via our video conferencing facility, Zoom.

Feedback will only be provided if you attend an interview or assessment.

Security

Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check.
