Job summary
Can you design, build and test electronic circuits?
Keen to build your skills and develop your career in engineering?
Joining one of our product development teams, you will work on hardware products and solutions to protect national security. You may not know all the details yet, but you soon will.
Youll bring your technical knowledge and ideas to create and maintain electronic hardware for the customer designed specialist devices, to meet the needs of customers at home and overseas. On the job training is provided, and a portion of your time will be dedicated to innovation and research.
No two days will be the same, one day you could be modifying an existing design to introduce a new requirement, the next you could be collaborating with a multidiscipline team on designing the next set of products and systems.

Youll have the opportunity to get involved in the full process. Youll use your skills and experience to create a wide range of designs and systems whilst working with a variety of customers and design engineers. You can be creative, working in your own way towards delivery. All we ask for in return is that you have a willingness to learn.
Using your diverse range of skills, you will:
Design, develop and document electronic systems to the highest standards.
Verify designs by creating and implementing verification tests and carrying out peer reviews.
Support products and investigate reported defects.
Contribute to project planning and meetings.

More About You
To apply for this role, you will already have:
Be able to design and test analogue, digital and microcontroller-based systems.
Be familiar with product and system design and development.
To strengthen your application, it would be beneficial if you also have:
Relevant work experience, equivalent to/ or, a 2-1 or greater relevant Degree.
Experience in electronic schematic capture and PCB design.
Experience of debugging and fault-finding electronic hardware.
Experience of RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
Experience of the product development cycle and working with production and manufacturing departments to realise a design.
Be familiar with embedded firmware.
