Job description
This role will be based in Cardiff or Southampton. MCA supports flexible working and operates a hybrid working model between home and office for this role, giving you greater flexibility over where and when you work. Details of the arrangement will be discussed further with your line manager.

The expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your working time based at your principal workplace. Details of the arrangement will be discussed further with your line manager.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Attending sites when required, meeting stakeholders from various business units and front-line delivery offices across all Directorates and geographical locations.
- Lift, shift, install and removal of IT equipment.
- Lead and partake in internal customer meetings.
- Uphold excellent customer service skills with enthusiasm and energy.
- Offer technical support and knowledge in and around the team.
- Providing technical IT Support to assist with and resolve IT Incidents and Service Requests.
- Widen visibility and cultural understanding of regional sites through Site Reports and Personas.
- Contribute to Continual Service Improvement (CSI) across all live services managed by IT Service Operations.
- Provision of operational and performance insights and trend analysis.
- Liaise with all other IT service functions to ensure that services are maintained.
- Reporting and act upon any Health and Safety or Security concerns from site visits.

About You
- Proficient at analysing information from a range of sources to present advice/recommendations with clarity and certainty to senior leaders and peers across the Agency;
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, be empathetic and confident in understanding when to escalate work; with strong resilience skills;
- Experience of operational IT management, including ITIL competency in standard practices (Incident Management, Service Request Management, Problem Management and Change Management).
Additional Information
- This role requires frequent visits to multiple key sites across the Agency and will be assigned to a regional area within the UK, comprising either Scotland and Northern UK, Southern England and Wales, or the Midlands and East England.
- Due to frequent site visits, this role would have an expectation of over night stays.
- There is a physical nature to the role, which will require the setting up, installation and removal of IT equipment.
- Security Clearance will be required.
