Job summary
The units primary focus is to guide, coach and carry out the independent assessment of trainee investigation and intelligence officers. This provides assurance that those who complete our highly regarded training programme are occupationally competent and capable of leading the fight against serious organised crime.
This campaign is for 12 posts which are split between Intelligence Analyst and Intelligence Officer roles. Candidates who are eligible can be posted into either role based on their accreditations. Please state in your application form which of these 2 roles you are applying for or for both
Job description
- Support the NCA recruitment process, assessing the aptitude / capability of applicants for the investigation accredited pathways to ensure recruitment of the right people.
- Drive up operational standards across the NCA commands by reviewing investigation processes, recommending and implementing improvement changes that achieve compliance to policy, standards and legislation as well as building capability across the NCA.
- Working with key stakeholders (College of Policing, Police Forces, Crown Prosecution Service, NCA Commands and NCA Legal) to ensure new legislation, standard operational procedures and best practice is introduced to NCA operational commands.
**To be considered, you will need to successfully complete SC Enhanced clearance before commencing the role and achieve DV clearance within the first 12 months in post.**

- Manage and develop new trainees on the Officer Development Programme (ODP), professionally assessing trainees knowledge and application of skills to point of their completion of the Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) or Professionalising Investigation Programme (PIP).
- Sourcing opportunities via partner agencies to develop staff and to ensure they achieve relevant accreditations.
- Undertaking professional discussions with new and existing staff to identify skills and training gaps.

Full DVLA Driving Licence (includes Full EU licences).
Qualifications
Intelligence officer roles:
IPP Intelligence Officer Accreditation.
Intelligence analyst roles:
IPP Intelligence Analyst Accreditation.

VETTING REQUIREMENTS SC

The requirement for SC clearance is to have been present in the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
Failure to meet the residency requirements will result in your security clearance application being rejected.
