We are looking to recruit a number of outstanding accounting professionals to join us in our new Regulatory Engagement Directorate as Senior Financial Analysis Managers at the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH).

Job description

As a Senior Financial Analysis Managers (SFAM), you will play a key role in leading our engagement with private registered providers.  SFAMs will lead our planned inspections with registered providers, maintain an ongoing relationship for a portfolio of providers, and manage our planned and reactive regulatory engagement. This includes oversight of our reviews of financial information and, where appropriate, taking a hands-on role for the most complex and higher risk providers. SFAMs are part of the regulator’s leadership team and will have responsibility for the ongoing development of our teams and approaches to our work.

Person specification

As the successful candidate, you will have a financial background and a relevant professional qualification. Experience and/or a good understanding of regulation, good governance, risk management principles and the housing sector is required.  The role requires an ability to apply experience to engage effectively with senior managers and boards of registered providers credibly. Internally at RSH, this senior role is responsible for ensuring that regulatory engagement staff are supported to develop the skills, knowledge and judgement needed to deliver effective regulation.
