Grade & Salary Grade EO. National banding -£25,976 – £30,264 per annum.
New entrants to the Civil Service are expected to start on the minimum of the pay band.
The internal roles rules apply to existing Civil Servants, i.e. level transfers move on current salary or the pay range minimum, transfers on promotion move to new pay range minimum or receive 10% increase. Either case is determined by whichever is the highest.

Job Overview
The IT Service management team provides business-critical support for systems and services, to UKHSA business users at all locations at which UKHSA staff work.
The post holder will administer and maintain mobile device accounts with the network provider, manage allocation of devices to staff and will generate regular reports from this system and perform other administrative functions in this area.

Job description
- Manage the complete UKHSA estate of mobile devices (approx. 4,000 smartphones, tablets, data device and standard mobile phones), including disconnections and migrations between providers and organisations
- Perform regular audits of device use, generating ad hoc reports where required, to ensure that UKHSA is achieving value for money and making best use of available resources
- Act as the Single Point of Contact for mobile phone queries within UKHSA, escalating to engineers where necessary
- Understand user requirements and allocate appropriate and authorised devices
- Ensure UKHSA staff are kept informed of developments in the mobile device area
- Liaising with UKHSA procurement and Tech colleagues as necessary
- Support roll out of new devices across UKHSA
- Reallocate mobile devices thereby ensuring maximum use and best value for
- Support and manage staff owned devices covered by Bring Your Own Device policy, should this be adopted in the future
- Administer activation process of new equipment
- Respond to enquiries from mobile users
- Provide guidance to end users on UKHSA policies and procedures in relation to mobile devices
- Contribute to developing UKHSA policies in respect of mobile device use
- Responsibility for managing requisitions and generating purchase orders utilising the appropriate software in relation to all UKHSA mobile devices

Essential skills:
- Proven experience of customer liaison
- Experience with multiple large telecommunications providers and large corporate accounts
- Experience with electronic procurement systems and procurement processes in a large public sector organisation
- To be able to manage own workload and prioritise conflicting demands
- Experience of working within a team setting but without face-to-face supervision
