Job description
Learning and Development
- Work with team leaders and the Organisation Capability Group to identify targeted development needs and source development opportunities reflecting the 70, 20, 10 learning model.
- Liaise with other government departments, in particular the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, on building sanctions capability across Whitehall and lead on implementing the strategy for how this can be used to support the development of trade sanctions implementation and wider DBT sanctions capability.
- Work with team leaders to develop learner journey/learner pathways in a way that is proportionate to the organisations needs.
People
- Work with team managers to develop skills matrixes for teams that set out clear expectations for roles that link into capability building.
- Work with hiring managers to develop an approach to recruitment including promoting opportunities.
- Develop and improve the trade sanctions implementation Induction programme to ensure new joiners receive the training and information they need to get up to speed on their roles as quickly as possible.
- Support hiring managers with HR related processes, in particular resourcing and on-boarding.
Culture
- Support Trade Defence on actions agreed from People Survey with particular focus on the trade sanctions implementation team.
- Be proactive in identify and implementing initiatives to develop the team culture as envisioned by senior leaders and in line with DBT values and People Strategy.

Interviews for this vacancy will be conducted virtually. We will, however, consider in-person interviews by exception.
