Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a fun and supportive team to enhance the delivery of well-designed and user centric Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) activities that support the evolution and development of the UKHO and its people. You will forge collaborative relationships with stakeholders to promote the L&OD offer across the UKHO, responding promptly to requests, meeting commitments, and interacting in a way that empowers and assists staff and line managers. There will be opportunities to be involved in a wide variety of activities, including:
- working with diverse stakeholders both internal and external
- planning and supporting the design and delivery of new training products and initiatives for both face to face and eLearning products
- delivering training for example orientation
- producing and analysing meaningful management information
- supporting the procurement of training for the organisation.
There will also be opportunities to develop your own skills and knowledge in the learning and organisational development field.

Hybrid working with attendance in the Taunton office, UK required to meet business requirements, approximately 2/3 days a week.
Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and planning of their own workload to meet outcomes. Working as an integral part of the L&OD team to support cultural change and delivery of Corporate Strategic Objective 4 (building the organisation of the future) projects by:
- Forging collaborative relationships with stakeholders to promote the L&OD offer across UKHO; providing excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests and meeting commitments.
- Delivering core L&OD products including the Organisational Orientation for new starters and coordinating the Employee Ways of Working agendas and meetings
- Supporting the co-ordination of external MOD talent programmes and administrating the process for use of the UKHO 360 tool.
- Collating and distributing reports and key metrics to identified stakeholders as required to support the review and evaluation of L&OD priorities. Ensuring all data is up to date and to the required standards of Information Assurance in its compilation and storage.
- Working with the Digital Learning Advisor to use the UKHO LMS to create content and events and carry out evaluations. Assist with the planning of talent, management development and L&OD related events e.g. Learning at Work Week, and continuously improving the way we do things
- Working with the L&OD administrator where required and with Procurement when necessary regarding procurement of Talent and Management training and other development requirements. Taking responsibility to raise Requisitions and Purchase Orders using SAP where necessary.
- Supporting to establish L&OD requirements and prepare & implement plans and activities, providing support around the design of training, its delivery and evaluation and creating communication documents, briefing materials and in-house learning materials / resources
Person specification

In addition to having a passion for learning and organisational development and the commitment and motivation to provide a quality service the successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering training or learning experiences and group discussions.
- CIPD level 4 certificate in Learning and Development practice (or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards.
- Excellent oral and written communication being able to engage with clarity, professionalism and enthusiasm, that develops trust, supports empowerment and encourages others to contribute their ideas and take action.
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, to build effective and sustained networks and professional collaborative relationships within the organisation and across organisations.
- Excellent demonstrable experience of planning, prioritising and delivering multiple outcomes at pace.
- Knowledge of training cycle activities, learning evaluation and learning styles.
- Ability to manipulate and interpret management information to support decision making.

Sift/Shortlist Criteria:

Interview Criteria:
Part of your interview will involve a presentation, details of which will be provided to those invited to interview. The presentation will be marked against the below criteria:

Process:
- Single Stage Interview via TEAMS. You will be contacted to book a suitable slot if you are shortlisted (see our Candidate Pack for further information)
- Interview will be with a panel of no more than 2 people and will last approx. 60 mins
