Royal Naval Armaments Depot (Coulport) is the UK Strategic Weapons Facility. Its Primary Role is to process, store and issue the UKs Strategic Deterrent to the Royal Navy. It is a department of HM Naval Base Clyde. It is a facility which frequently operates 24/7 throughout the year.

Person specification
Post requires a minimum of 3 years experience working in a Nuclear Weapon (NW) or Strategic Weapon System (SWS) area with a firm understanding of the SWS project needs and regulatory requirements and disciplines for processing, handling, and storage of NW and SWS Flight hardware and Surface Support Equipment, with an understanding of working on an authorised site.
The individual should have an engineering background with an apprenticeship in a relevant engineering subject, however suitable experience in a high consequence low frequency environment in relation to quality or security may also be considered.
This post requires flexibility in working hours during periods of operational requirements where overtime and shift work are necessary working part of a small specialist team.

These roles are currently included on the post control list as a Level 2 (Practitioner) and as such will attract the corresponding RRA to a Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person.

This post offers First Appointment Expenses to new recruits to the Civil Service to assist with costs incurred as a result of relocation or move of home (HM Revenue and Customs restrictions apply). Reimbursement of expenses up to the value of £8,000 will apply only when a move of home is deemed to be vital.
