Job summary
The position of Building Fabric Supervisor within the Estates Department is to support our existing capability and follow through on any repair requests from our stakeholders.
Job description
The successful candidate will assist the Maintenance Manager in the delivery of planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance across both sites, ensuring all buildings and infrastructure are maintained to a high standard – for example the care and protection of our collections. Another key objective will be responding to work requests in a timely manner.
Person specification
The role calls for an individual that has general building (fabric) experience ideally a time served carpenter, highly enthusiastic, committed and adaptable to various types of work. This role will also require weekend working and traveling to Wakehurst when required.
You will demonstrate general building, carpentry and maintenance such as repairs to doors, windows, ironmongery, flooring, roofing, tiling, brickwork, fences, shuttering and external walkways. This will also include painting and decorating and use of power and hand tools.
