Job summary

We are currently looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Business Partnering Team within the Corporate group.

This is a full-time opportunity, on a permanent. The role will be based in 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf London, E14 4PU. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas.  

Government departments and agencies are working towards implementing a minimum 60% attendance in office sites.

We are currently implementing a flexible, hybrid way of working, with a minimum of 4 days per month working on site to enable the collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders needed to deliver MHRA business. Attendance on site is driven by business needs so depending on the nature of the role, this can flex up to 8 days a month, with the remainder of time worked either remotely or in the office. Some roles will need to be on site more regularly. Remote working is potentially available for some specific roles. Please discuss this with the recruiting manager before accepting an appointment.

Finance Business Partnering Team plays a crucial role in ensuring that the Agency can deliver its strategic objectives, manage its day-to-day business, and deliver value for money. We aim to add value and insight to the Agency advocating continuous improvement whilst also implementing it internally. This role will play a key part in shaping and delivering change and requires an analytical mind with solid finance partnering experience to challenge operations to drive down costs, improve efficiency and deliver benefits.

This role will play a key part in shaping and delivering change and requires an analytical mind with solid finance partnering experience to challenge operations to drive down costs, improve efficiency and deliver benefits.

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • To provide financial support to the Budget Holders, relevant Directors and their teams in order to drive better value for money across the organisation including creating the appropriate finance KPIs.
  • Providing financial analysis and insights on specific issues to support better outcomes including providing financial input on business case costs and benefits.
  • To support and help deliver benchmarking effectiveness and efficiency to drive improvement.
  • Produce high quality management reports and insightful management information for senior managers as required from time to time.
  • Spread best practice across the organisation and work effectively with other finance and other function business partners.

Alongside your salary of £42,869, Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency contributes
