Job summary

We are looking for a Governance Officer to play a pivotal role in the Director’s Office, providing front-line governance and administrative support to Kew’s Executive Board, Board of Trustees and committees. 

Kew has ambitious plans, and it’s an exciting time to join the small friendly team that supports the Director, senior management team and trustees. The job is located at our beautiful Kew Gardens site in South West London.

Job description

Our ideal candidate will be an excellent administrator and motivated team-player who thrives on working at pace and to a varied workload and has an interest in governance. Work will include providing secretariat for the Executive Board, managing the logistics of Kew’s board and committee meetings and supporting good governance processes. 

Person specification

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent interpersonal and writing skills, a good eye for detail, a flexible approach and excellent IT skills. You will also need a strong track record in providing high quality administrative support, including minuting senior meetings, be highly organised, have the confidence to work with senior stakeholders and act calmly under pressure.

Interviews are planned for 25 October 2023.

This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.
