Job description
The responsibilities and tasks include:
- Management, delivery and support of major departmental change projects such as Band B Regrading, Performance Management and Reward reform.
- You will be responsible for different aspects of project and change delivery depending on the size and complexity of the project but often including gathering information and project planning, designing and implementing effective reporting, presenting to boards and senior management, designing and leading workshops and appreciative enquiry, developing policies and writing board papers and communicating key messages across teams with a variety of stakeholders.
- Delivery of staff engagement exercises across DCMS. This may also include delivery of exercises on topics such as OD, staff survey, Band B Regrading and Wellbeing.
- Working with key stakeholders to deliver interventions that shape organisational culture and values such as corporate induction events, interventions to support staff wellbeing and other programmes that contribute to a positive working environment and DCMS culture
- Delivery and support of reactive policy, procedure and guidance to support staff through crises.

- Provision of change and project management expertise to other teams across DCMS where needed.

Essential Requirements

- Delivering at Pace: identify who and what is required to ensure success, set clear goals and areas of responsibility and continually assess workloads considering individual needs. Follow relevant policies, procedures and legislation to complete your work. Regularly check performance against objectives, making suggestions for improvement or taking corrective action where necessary.
- Communicating and Influencing: communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Express ideas clearly and with respect for others. Listen to and value different ideas, views and ways of working. Respond constructively and objectively to comments and questions. Handle challenging conversations with confidence and sensitivity.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience providing advice or guidance to customers on any of the areas that these roles would be responsible for: general HR advice, leadership, change/project management, or ways of working.
- A professional qualification in Project Management or CIPD, or an interest in obtaining one
- Previous experience or an interest in OD experience

Selection process details

Interview
The interview process will assess behaviours and strengths and potentially include a presentation.

You will not be made aware of the strengths being assessed prior to your interview.
As part of your interview, you may be asked to deliver a short oral presentation. Full details of this, including the topic, and whether or not you will need to use visual aids, will be sent to you prior to your interview.
In most cases interviews will take place remotely via Google Meet video call. However please refer to the Candidate Information Pack to confirm the interview approach.
