We have a number of exciting opportunities to work within a newly formed tight knit Resourcing team and help shape what resourcing will look like going forward.

These roles involve working within a highly motivated and passionate team, this role has the responsibility for delivering a high quality, customer focused recruitment service with an emphasis on delegated grade recruitment. Reporting to the team’s Resourcing Lead, you will manage the relationships with vacancy holders for all their recruitment needs and guide them through the recruitment process from campaign planning to candidate onboarding. This will involve using a wide range of systems and IT applications, including applicant tracking systems, payroll and other internal HR systems. Training on these systems will be provided in full to the successful applicant(s).

The successful applicant will manage multiple priorities for our customers, both internal and external, with the onboarding experience for candidates and hiring managers being the key focus. The appointee will collaborate with other HR Operations colleagues to deliver an exceptional service and will need exceptional attention to detail to be successful in the role.

Being flexible in your day-to-day work and able to meet strict deadlines will be essential to the post, Candidates can expect variety in the roles and candidates they source for UKHSA with a focus on both Civil Servant appointments, and candidates working for UKHSA under Agenda for Change (AfC)/NHS terms and conditions.

There are 3 permanent vacancies available and 2 on a Fixed Term Contract up to 12 months.

Hybrid working from one of our UKHSA locations and home working available for these roles, this can be discussed in further detail at further at offer stage.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) offers hybrid working – this means that whilst the role will be based in one of our offices, there will be opportunities for an element of working from home. UKHSA have office locations across the UK.

This role can be based at one of our UKHSA offices/locations with opportunities for an element of working from home. You will be asked to express a location preference during the application process.

The balance between home and workplace working is to be agreed with the line manager, determined primarily by business needs and in line with departmental policy.

*Please be aware that this role can only be worked from within the UK and not overseas. Relocation expenses are not available.*

Salary based on your location:

  • Inner London £29,737 – £34,453 (within the boundary of the M25)
  • Outer London £27,722 – £32,505 (within a further 40-mile radius outside of the M25)
  • National £25,976 – £30,264 (outside of the Inner and Outer London pay zones)

Job description

The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:

  • Facilitate recruitment of up to 25 campaigns at any one time for internal customers (Hiring Managers) and see them through to completion, ensuring campaigns are carried out in line with UKHSA Policy and Civil Service Recruitment Principles
  • Management of pre-employment checks for incoming candidates to ensure they are lawfully employed by UKHSA.
  • In managing UKHSA recruitment campaigns, ensure internal systems (shared inboxes, applicant tracking systems and payroll) are kept up to date and necessary documentation is stored in line with UKHSA practices for each candidate and campaign.
  • Carry out a range of other tasks as required in order to see the campaign through to completion (e.g. creation of sifting and interview packs).
  • Assist with any customer queries (both internal and external) and provide expertise and guidance throughout recruitment campaigns, offering an exceptional customer experience, escalating queries where necessary.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, candidates, hiring managers, interview panels and other wider HR functions.
  • Deal with highly sensitive issues and personal data, acting with diplomacy and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Being part of teams that are always looking at change and improvement – actively contributing to different projects.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment, collaborating with colleagues and customers in a professional manner in order to problem solve and manage queries to completion.
  • An understanding of accurate data input including checking and ensuring that the correct processes are followed, and quality standards are met.
  • Confident at using a range of different systems and IT applications.
  • Effective communication skills, and a focus on excellent customer service
  • Experience of working calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to work as part of a close working team, supporting other team members in delivering a first-class customer service.

Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience of working in a Resourcing environment or similar people focused team.
  • Knowledge of advertising, booking interviews and onboarding processes

Selection process details

STAGE 1 – APPLICATION & SIFT: 

At sift stage you will be assessed on the essential criteria listed in the job advert, you will receive a separate score for both your CV (the information entered into your application) and statement of suitability.

STAGE 2 – INTERVIEW 

This competition will involve a video interview conducted via Microsoft Teams.
