As our Data Analyst – Power Platform you will work a hybrid pattern of homeworking and weekly visits (open to discussion) to our Exeter HQ. You can choose to work more frequently in our state-of-the-art office if you’d prefer.

Job description
Job Purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity to play a role in evolving our citizen developer suite of tools, Microsoft Power Platform. This enables the organisation to work efficiently and effectively and be a Force for Good delivering world class services to our customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
In this post, you will need drive, enthusiasm, and experience in managing data and information, translating and communicating how it can support our business goals and make a difference to every single member of the Met Office.
The post sits within the Microsoft Apps for Business Team. You will need to become familiar with our Dynamics 365 Sales implementation (which is where the majority of reporting will be required) and will naturally be able to provide second level support, eventually becoming the SME for the service.
This is an opportunity to demonstrate our values of evolving and bringing people together to share knowledge and show expertise in action. You will collaborate with customers, build a stakeholder community and provide insights and communication about this exciting technology that helps us work smarter with our business information.
As our Data Analyst – Power Platform, your key responsibilities are:
- Collect, organise and study corporate business data from multiple Met Office sources to provide insight.
- Provide support and advice for the use of Dynamics 365, PowerApps and PowerBI.

Essential Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
- Collate and analyse requirements from multiple stakeholders to propose, deliver and maintain useful and timely Management Dashboards & Reports to support business decisions. (Better together)
- Act as a Data Steward by managing and understanding the DataVerse database and ensure integrity of data for both reporting and GDPR/Data Protection purposes (Keep evolving)
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise for Power Platform (including Dynamics 365) to ensure it is exploited and represented as a trusted service. (Expert by nature)
- Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration and teamwork skills. (Live and breathe it)
- Provide second line support and training to system users so they can use the systems functionality effectively and exploit the systems full potential. (Force for good)

Our reward package
As our Data Analyst – Power Platform, your starting salary will be £32100.00. New joiners to the Met Office will start on the salary band minimum. Our 2022-25 pay award means the salary will increase to £33559.00 from 1st April 2024, and you will be able to progress towards £36000.00 over time.
Your total reward package is potentially worth up to £44696.00 annually, which includes basic salary, potential corporate bonus and employer pension contributions.
