Job summary
The Combat Manoeuvre Centre (CMC) is looking for a motivated and driven individual to join the Quartermaster Technical Department in Bovington! This is an exciting opportunity for you to become a member of the team supporting the Armoured Fighting Vehicles Schools Regiment. The Regiment trains soldiers in driving, maintaining and operating armoured vehicles and equipment. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. |

Person specification
We are looking for someone that has excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be supporting personnel of all ranks, military and civilian. You will also have the ability to react quickly and positively to change. Strong customer service skills are required along with basic digital literacy, although full training will be provided on using the tailored computer systems for stock control and inventory.
An outstanding teammate, the successful candidate will be able to work closely with their military colleagues, civil servants and contractors alike.
Mobility and physical fitness are essential to move technical kit and equipment, this will include operating a forklift to transport materials between stores. Forklift operator training will be provided to comply with safe working practices.

Personal Statement should provide any previous knowledge or experience of inventory management.

Interviews will take place at Bovington on a date to be confirmed. A minimum of 5 full working days notice will be provided for interviews. We will endeavour to stick to these dates, but these are subject to change around business needs.
As a result of the changes to the UK immigration rules which came into effect on 1 January 2021, the Ministry of Defence will only offer sponsorship for a skilled worker visa under the points-based system, where a role has been deemed to be business critical. The role currently being advertised has not been assessed as business critical and is therefore NOT open to applications from those who will require sponsorship under the points-based system.
