Royal Naval Armaments Depot (Coulport) is the UK Strategic Weapons Facility. Its Primary Role is to process, store and issue the UKs Strategic Deterrent to the Royal Navy. It is a department of HM Naval Base Clyde. It is a facility which frequently operates 24/7 throughout the year.

Person specification
It is important through your application and Statement of Suitability of no more than 750 words that you give evidence and examples of each of the essential criteria (for full details of essential criteria please refer to the attached job description):
- Experience of writing and preparing reports and business cases for senior colleagues and / or meetings.
- Experience or understanding of operational delivery; budget management; business planning; and/ or business continuity processes.
- Experienced of use of systems to order goods and services and an understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
- Ability to work without supervision working to tight and often changing timescales.
- Ability to lead a team and effectively manage team dynamics to drive forward a shared goal.
- Experienced in IT skills, advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience of working with a public sector environment would be beneficial.

The post does not offer relocation expenses.
External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.

STAGE 1 – APPLICATION & SIFT:
You will be required to complete a numerical and verbal online test. Upon completion you will be asked to submit a 750 word Statement of Suitability. Please use this to outline your skills, experience, and achievements, providing evidence of your suitability for the role, with reference to the criteria (outlined in the Job Description).
You will also be asked to provide information within the Employer/ Activity history section of the application form. This is equivalent to the information you would provide on a CV, setting out your career history.
If you are successful at this stage, you will progress to an interview.
STAGE 2 INTERVIEW
This competition will involve an interview.
As part of the process, candidates will be invited to interview which will involve a discussion of your previous experience. We will use competency-based questions to assess the behaviours.
