We have a regulatory duty for the market oversight of approximately 60 corporate providers of adult social care services. Its purpose is to protect people in vulnerable circumstances from the effects of the failure of ‘difficult to replace’ adult social care providers.

We’re now looking for a Director of Corporate Provider and Market Oversight to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

Job description

As our Director of Corporate Provider and Market Oversight, you will shape the function for adult social care (ASC) in order to meet reform from a market perspective.

Leading the Corporate Provider and Market Oversight Team, you will lead major transformational work of the Oversight team and advocate for adult social care with the Government to get much needed resources into the sector.

You will have a role in the investment committee and will drive corporate conversations around quality to support our focus on continuous improvement and enable our services to be of a suitable high quality.

As part of the market shaping function, you will identify themes and trends among providers, gaps and opportunities in the market, analyse how other external forces can affect the provision of care and bring a strategic and creative vision to drive forward this focus.

What you will bring…

To be considered as our Director of Corporate Provider and Market Oversight, you will need:

– Experience in a leadership role in a complex organisation
– Experience in dealing with Government Departments
– Experience across a range of different restructuring solutions
– Experience of working with professional advisers
– To be a corporate leader with investment and restructuring expertise
– Political acumen and the ability to think ahead to future governments and policy positions and prepare for them
– A good understanding of the healthcare sector
– An understanding of the relationship between organisational and wider economic improvement and the resilience to cope with this
– Investment and restructuring expertise
– Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills
– Self-motivation, a robust attitude, and a corporate player mentality with a keen understanding of trust
