CPS Chief Finance Officer Directorate is delighted to advertise the role of Head of Corporate Estates Management.

Person specification
- To support the head of estates with creating and implementing the strategic asset management plan including relocation, modernisation, and suitability of the CPS estate. This supports recruitment and retention by providing our people with a modern, inclusive, and sustainable place to work.
- To manage the Lease Events Pipeline / Property Transaction Tracker for all current and future portfolio lease / occupancy events, including expiries and breaks. To lead as the CPS Transaction Manager on the preferred property solution/s agreeing the terms and putting in place relevant legal occupancy documentation with the Government Property Agency (GPA), their advisors and colleagues.
- To provide assurance to the CPS board and executive team including the estates steering group, area strategy boards, area business managers and chief crown prosecutors on the effective delivery of facilities management services, as provided through the GPA.
- To lead on effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), working in partnership with the GPA, to secure optimal performance of the CPS built environment.
- To be a visible leader, effectively managing key stakeholder relationships and engagement arrangements including working in close partnership with the GPA and area business managers to deliver the national CPS estates strategy.
- Represent the CPS at cross-government estates forums and meetings, sharing best practice and acting as an advocate for the department.

The recruitment process will consist of an online application and interview which will be held on either w/c 15th January 2024 or w/c 22nd January 2024.

Personal Statement
You will also be asked to complete a personal statement of no more than 1250 words setting out how you consider your personal skills, qualities and experience, match the requirements as detailed in the Candidate Pack. You will also need to address the core behaviours for this role, detailed in the Behaviours Section of the Candidate Pack, which are;

This is a full-time post. However, requests for flexible, part-time working and job share will be considered, considering at all times the operational needs of the Department.
Clearance Required
The successful applicant will be required to secure DBS clearance to speed up this process; you should bring 3 forms of ID with you on the day of interview. Data gathered from unsuccessful candidates will be destroyed in accordance with our Data Retention Policy.
If successful in obtaining an interview you will be asked to complete the Character Enquiry Form and Nationality and Immigration Questionnaire.

Waiting List
Candidates who are recommended by the selection panel but not appointed to the current vacancy will be placed on a waiting list for 12 months and may be offered another post, should any further vacancies for a Head of Corporate Estates Management arise in the Chief Finance Officer Directorate during this period. CPS may also approach candidates on the waiting list to fill other roles requiring similar knowledge and experience.

Fair Processing Notice (FPN)
From April 2018, the CPS will provide a Fair Processing Notice (FPN) to all new applicants after they have been successful at interview. These candidates will be informed that, as one aspect of pre-employment screening, their personal details name, National Insurance Number and date of birth – will be checked against the Internal Fraud Database (IFD) and that anyone included on the IFD will be refused employment unless they can demonstrate exceptional circumstances.
The Strategic Resourcing team in the CPS will, on behalf of the vacancy holder, inform applicants when they are refused employment because of their inclusion in the IFD.
