The Resourcing Hub is made up of four sub-teams (Overseas, Senior Civil Service, Strategy, Operations and Digital, Data & Technology), which work collaboratively to provide a range of services to help managers attract, source and hire the most capable and diverse workforce we can across all grades and professions. Bringing in the best talent to DBT is only part of it. We deliver the government’s strategies through recruitment, including the levelling up agenda which aims to build back better across the UK.

Job description

Be part of our high performing and motivated team where you’ll have the opportunity to partner your own active portfolio driving better recruitment practice and providing innovative solutions that serve the organisation’s needs.  

We have two roles on offer.  

Strategic Resourcing Partner (Permanent)  

  • Partner an area of the business by providing: support on resourcing strategy, guidance on best practice and policy; and capability building interventions to ensure we recruit top talent into DBT. 
  • Report and analyse data to identify trends, feeding this back to stakeholders. 
  • Lead on projects ranging from continuous improvement of policy and processes to assessing innovative resourcing solutions. 
  • Build trusted, credible relationships with a diverse range of HR and business stakeholders, at all levels. 
  • Interpret policy and guidance to ensure compliance and provide recommendations on best practice and policy 
  • Continuously expand DBTs suite of resourcing options and capabilities through networking and aligning to industry best practice. 

Senior Civil Servant (SCS) Recruitment Campaign Manager (2 year Fixed Term Contract)  

  • Manage Senior Civil Servant (SCS) recruitment campaigns from start to finish, providing expert advice and a bespoke service to our executive stakeholders up to Permanent Secretary level, ensuring candidates receive an excellent recruitment and onboarding experience 
  • Develop strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders,  including Deputy Directors, Directors, and Director Generals, by delivering efficient end-to-end recruitment and communicating openly.  
  • Work collaboratively with HR Business Partners to support SCS workforce planning.
  • Leading a variety of projects across the team focused on Diversity and Inclusion, Continuous Improvement, and the Levelling Up agenda
  • Line and task manage 1 or 2 Recruitment Advisers, coaching and mentoring them to deliver an excellent recruitment service and supporting their professional development.

Person specification

Essential Criteria 

  • Experience of managing or supporting end-to end recruitment campaigns or operations.  
  • Ability to work with data or reporting and understanding of the value of data insights.  
  • Experience of HR policy.  
  • Proven experience working or supporting on projects.
  • Experience of working as part of a team, with experience in mentoring and developing other members of the team.  

Desirable Criteria  

  • Proven excellent customer service in a client facing role with a real passion for people and making positive connections.
  • Project Management Training (Qualified/ Unqualified).
