We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Evidence and Insights Analyst to join our organisation. CCW is the independent voice for water consumers in England and Wales. Since 2005, we have helped thousands of consumers resolve complaints against their water company, while providing free advice and support. All of our work is informed by extensive research, which we use to champion the interests of consumers and influence water companies, governments and regulators.
Reporting to the Interim Head of Evidence and Insights, the Senior Evidence and Insights Analyst is responsible for leading on the analysis and interpretation of data for CCW and providing direction to the Evidence and Insights Data Analysts. The Senior Evidence and Insights Analyst will be responsible for the collation, analysis and quality assurance of CCWs data, drawing together insight to inform operational and policy decisions. They will be responsible for ensuring that the data CCW holds is accurate and that it can be accessed by everyone in CCW through Power BI dashboards (which may be made external at a future date).
The Senior Evidence and Insights Analyst will also be responsible for the production of CCWs annual household and business customer complaints reports which are published on our website, and for conducting assessments of water companies complaints handling to ensure that they are reporting in line with the complaints guidance.

Job description

Provide analytical direction as part of the Evidence and Insights Teams to deliver CCWs Forward Work Programme, campaigns and strategic objectives.
Lead in the collection, collation and analysis of data from across CCW, water services providers and third party organisations where appropriate ensuring the ongoing quality of the data and how it is interpreted and presented.
Be both accountable and responsible for the overall quality assurance of the data that CCW holds and publishes, understanding that incorrect data can have significant impact on CCWs reputation and undermine any policy positions that the organisation takes.
Analyse CCW data, as well as that submitted by companies and other third parties, or collected through research or social media listening to produce reports for internal and external use (under the direction of the Head of Evidence and Insights)
Use problem solving skills to ensure that any analysis of CCW data is robust.
Lead in the production of CCWs annual household and non-household complaints reports
Undertake assessments to ensure that water companies are adhering to the complaints guidance and to identify and share best practice
Develop and maintain internal and external dashboards to ensure the needs of the organisation, customers and stakeholders are met. Dashboards must enable self-service use by the business.
Identify trends in data using associated software to derive key insight, including the identification of areas for improvement or concerns and root cause of issues to feed into Policy and Research.
Provide insight and analytical expertise to inform the strategic work of CCW, including identification of gaps in organisational knowledge and reporting to the Board on various work streams and projects
Responsible for the development and maintenance of databases containing information held by CCW originating from research, quarterly returns, complaints and or other areas and ensuring the templates are fit for purpose and that the data is quality assured.
Ensure that data is accessible to people at CCW.
Lead on ensuring that CCW has processes in place that adhere to Government Functional Standards in relation to data analysis and responsibility to ensure that CCW follows internal controls in relation to how data is managed..
Attend major workshops and meetings with Senior key stakeholders to present and discuss CCWs evidence and insights.
Represent CCW in the media on matters relating to the data that we publish.
