Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) are an inclusive and dedicated team who are looking to recruit an experienced Band 7 Quality Assurance Lead within the Regional Headquarters at Redford Barracks Edinburgh.

Job description
We are looking to appoint a talented leader who will have a key role in coordinating and managing the quality assurance systems and leading 2nd party assurance, as part of governance and assurance structure in DPHC.
The successful candidate will provide DPHC facilities within the defined geographical area (Scotland and Northern Ireland), with the effective and timely management and analysis of assurance systems to promote patient safety and prioritise continuous quality improvement.
The job role will involve travel on a regular basis to SNI Medical Facilities and HQ Lichfield, therefore a driving licence is desirable but not essential as there are other means of travel that can be taken.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Act as the Assurance Team Lead on the 2nd party assurance of DPHC facilities within the area of responsibility, including the timely completion of the assurance report and recommendations.
Coordinate the 2nd party assurance of the DPHC facilities within the post holders defined geographical area of responsibility.
Ensure the effective and timely investigation and analysis of patient safety incidents within the Area of Responsibility (AOR) to ensure that lessons are identified, learned, and are shared.
Management, monitoring and analysis of quality assurance systems, including, but not limited to patient safety, patient experience (including complaints), stakeholder experience, clinical audit, assurance outcomes, and Common Assurance Framework standards, identifying trends, areas for improvement and sharing of best practice.

This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working from home as a personal choice (if the role is suitable for this).
